The Search for the Next Daughter of the Soil, Now in the South

The search for the next Daughter of the Soil made its way to Bengaluru and for a day, Yutori Spaces became part of that journey.

On March 13th, we hosted the South Zone Auditions of the 61st edition of Femina Miss India, presented by KIIT and co-powered by Rajnigandha Pearls.

Over 300+ contestants from across the South stepped in, each taking their first step toward the crown.

A Day That Brought the South Together

Participants arrived representing Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.

Each state brought its own presence into the space.

Kerala came in with grace and quiet confidence. Tamil Nadu brought a strong, polished edge. Karnataka showed up focused and prepared. Telangana carried a bold, confident energy. Andhra Pradesh had a natural ease and stage presence.

Different styles, different personalities but the intent was the same.

Inside Yutori Spaces

The space was set up across two zones.

One area was dedicated to glam hair, makeup, and getting ready before stepping in. Contestants used this space to prepare and take a moment before their turn.

The second area held the auditions. Walks, introductions, and interactions with the jury all happened here.

The movement between the two felt easy. From prep to performance, everything stayed connected.

What stood out were the in-between moments people talking, encouraging each other, sharing small laughs. It didn’t feel closed or intimidating, even with everything at stake.

The Outcome

By the end of the day, 25 contestants were shortlisted to move forward to the final round of auditions in Mumbai.

From 300+ to 25 it was a sharp cut, and every selection counted.

Alongside this, Top 5 finalists were also identified from each state Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.

What This Meant for Yutori

For us, this was about hosting a format where multiple things happen at once prep, movement, evaluation, and flow.

The space held all of it without feeling overwhelming.
